About The Position

Adoration Home Health is currently seeking a full time Eligibility Coordinator in Tennessee. This is a remote role, and is an excellent opportunity to develop your administrative and customer service skills while supporting a top home health provider in the region!

Requirements

  • High school graduate or GED
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in health care billing and/or authorization practices
  • General knowledge of the framework, organization, and function of home care
  • Sound knowledge of health care operations and third-party reimbursement
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet Explorer) with the ability to learn industry specific software applications
  • Solid organizational skills, thoroughness, and a keen attention to detail with the ability to multi-task while prioritizing effectively
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Excellent, oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Professional appearance and demeanor

Responsibilities

  • Answer telephones and provide excellent customer service to our professional staff and insurance representatives
  • Run and utilize computer reports regularly
  • Observe confidentiality and safeguard all patient related information
  • Provide accurate, complete updates to Agency management on status of Insurance Eligibility for all patients
  • Ensures that Insurance Eligibility is obtained and documented for all patients
  • Is responsible for seeing that objectives are implemented, follows, and promotes agency policies and procedures
  • Ensure that all eligibility responses are documented clearly
  • Participate in the orientation and education of other employees as relates to Eligibility department
  • Observes confidentiality and safeguard all patient related information
  • Notifies Supervisor of problems in a timely manner and works to help provide solutions
  • Completes ongoing education requirements and demonstrates ongoing competency in required areas
  • Other duties as assigned
