About The Position

The Elevator Technician performs field service work on all types of elevators, VRCs, and rack-and-pinion systems, using methods and procedures considered proper within the industry. The technician is expected to be an authority on most technical aspects of the elevator industry. The role includes representing the company professionally onsite, applying technical expertise, and helping supervise personnel and complete work in the company’s best interests.

Requirements

At least 4 years of experience in the elevator industry or equivalent.
Possess or be eligible to obtain a CET or NEIEP elevator mechanic’s certificate.
Possess or be eligible to obtain a TWIC card.
Elevator knowledge.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and sit or stand for long periods.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Computer proficiency.
Exceptional customer service skills.
Ability to pass drug/alcohol screening and a background check.
Knowledge of tools and craft.
Dependability.
Organizational skills.
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check (DISA), and submit to random and annual drug testing as required.
