About The Position

Residential Elevators is hiring a full-time, paid Elevator Install Mechanic Apprentice for the Long Island, NY area. This entry-level apprenticeship is intended for motivated individuals seeking a long-term skilled-trade career. Apprentices receive hands-on training and mentorship from experienced elevator mechanics while learning to install and service custom residential elevators. Most apprentices are promoted within 12–18 months to Service Technician or Installation Mechanic, with earning potential of $60K–$90K+ after promotion. The job is on the road and involves travel, mostly regional travel from Long Island, NY.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 90%, mostly regionally from Long Island, NY.
• Physical capability to lift 50+ lbs and perform hard physical work.
• Comfort working at heights, on ladders, and in tight spaces.
• Knowledge of how to safely use hand tools.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

• Prior experience in construction, electrical, mechanical, or elevator industries.
