About The Position

Residential Elevators is hiring a full-time, paid Elevator Install Mechanic Apprentice in the Sarasota, Florida area. The apprentice program is intended for motivated individuals seeking a long-term career in the skilled trades. Apprentices receive hands-on training and mentorship from experienced elevator mechanics while learning to install and service residential elevators. Most apprentices are promoted within 12–18 months to Service Technician or Installation Mechanic, with stated post-promotion earning potential of $60,000–$90,000 or more. The role is on the road and involves mostly regional travel from Sarasota, Florida, with travel of up to 90%. Starting pay is $18.00–$24.00 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Able and willing to travel up to 90%, mostly regionally from Sarasota, Florida.
• Physically capable of lifting more than 50 pounds and performing hard physical work.
• Comfortable working at heights, on ladders, and in tight spaces.
• Knowledge of how to safely use hand tools.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Able to pass a background check and drug screen.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in construction, electrical, mechanical, or elevator industries.

Responsibilities
