Elevator Install Mechanic Apprentice
About The Position
Residential Elevators is hiring a full-time, paid Elevator Install Mechanic Apprentice for work based on the road, primarily traveling regionally from the Atlantic City, New Jersey area. The apprentice program is intended for motivated people beginning a long-term career in the skilled trades. Apprentices receive hands-on training and mentorship from experienced elevator mechanics and learn skills needed to install and service residential elevators. The company states that most apprentices are promoted within 12–18 months to Service Technician or Installation Mechanic, with earning potential of $60,000–$90,000 or more after promotion. Residential Elevators was founded in 1996 and manufactures, installs, and services custom residential elevators made in the USA. The company has over 200 employees and operates in more than 15 states.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 90%, mostly on regional travel from Atlantic City, New Jersey.
- Physical capability to lift 50 or more pounds and perform hard physical work.
- Comfort working at heights, on ladders, and in tight spaces.
- Knowledge of how to safely use hand tools.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
