About The Position

Residential Elevators is hiring a full-time, paid Elevator Install Mechanic Apprentice in the Charlotte, North Carolina area. The apprentice program is intended for individuals starting a long-term skilled-trade career. Apprentices receive hands-on training and mentorship from experienced elevator mechanics while learning to install and service custom residential elevators. The company says most apprentices are promoted within 12–18 months to Service Technician or Installation Mechanic, with earning potential of $60,000–$90,000 or more after promotion. Starting pay is $18.00–$24.00 per hour. The position involves travel, mostly regional travel from Charlotte, and work on the road.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Able and willing to travel up to 90% of the time.
Physically capable of lifting more than 50 pounds and doing hard physical work.
Comfortable working at heights, on ladders, and in tight spaces.
Knowledge of safe hand-tool use.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in construction, electrical, mechanical, or elevator industries.
