About The Position
If you love working with young learners and want consistent tutoring work without the hassle of finding your own clients, managing billing, or coordinating schedules — this is the role for you. Tutor Doctor of Marin County is a locally owned and operated tutoring service. We match experienced tutors with K–5 students in their homes throughout Marin County for one-on-one sessions. We handle all client matching, scheduling, and billing — you focus entirely on teaching.
Requirements
- Experience teaching or tutoring elementary-age students (K–5) — 2+ years preferred
- Strong grasp of foundational reading and math skills
- Patient, reliable, and great with young learners
- Bachelor's degree preferred — relevant experience considered in lieu of degree
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one reading and math support for elementary students (K–5) in their homes
- Adapt instruction to each student's learning style and school curriculum
- Support homework, classwork, and long-term skill building
- Track student progress and share updates with families and our team
- Participate in paid onboarding and coaching sessions
