Part Time Elementary Teacher

About The Position
Brightmont Academy is hiring a part-time elementary teacher to provide personalized, one-to-one instruction to students in grades 1–12. Teachers tailor lessons to each student’s needs and learning style and guide students toward mastery using a gradual-release approach that builds confidence and academic success. Lesson planning, parent conferences, and grading are not required, allowing teachers to focus on instruction and student support. The role offers a flexible schedule and professional development opportunities. The listed pay is $22–$24 per hour.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a subject area such as English, Social Studies, History, Government, or Economics.
- Patience and empathy, with a commitment to supporting students with different learning needs.
- Genuine passion for teaching and sharing subject knowledge with the next generation.
- Proficiency with G-Suite and learning management software (LMS).
- Ability to provide fingerprints in Arizona or Washington, where applicable, and pass a federal background check.
Nice To Haves
- Orton-Gillingham training.
- Teaching certification; not required.
- Advanced degree in a specific subject area of expertise.
- Previous one-to-one teaching experience.
