About The Position
Brightmont Academy is hiring a part-time Elementary Teacher to provide one-to-one instruction to students in grades 1–12. Teachers tailor instruction to each student's needs and learning style and use a gradual-release approach to help students build confidence and achieve academic mastery. The role does not involve lesson planning, parent conferences, or grading. The position pays $22–$23 per hour and offers a flexible schedule and professional development opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a subject area such as English, Social Studies, History, Government, or Economics.
- Patience and empathy, with a commitment to supporting students with different learning needs.
- Genuine passion for teaching and sharing subject knowledge.
- Proficiency using G-Suite and learning management software (LMS).
- Ability to provide fingerprints in Arizona or Washington, where applicable, and pass a federal background check.
Nice To Haves
- Orton-Gillingham training.
- Teaching certification (not required).
- Advanced degree in the relevant subject area.
- Previous one-to-one teaching experience.
