About The Position
Brightmont Academy is hiring a part-time Elementary Teacher to provide personalized, one-to-one instruction to students in grades 1–12. The role focuses on tailoring instruction to each student’s needs and learning style and guiding students toward mastery through a gradual-release approach that builds confidence and academic success. Teachers are not responsible for lesson planning, parent conferences, or grading. The position offers a flexible schedule and professional development opportunities. Compensation is $22–$23 per hour.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a subject area such as English, Social Studies, History, Government, or Economics.
- Patience and empathy, with a commitment to supporting students with different learning needs.
- Genuine passion for teaching and sharing subject knowledge with the next generation.
- Proficiency using G-Suite and Learning Management Software (LMS).
- Ability to provide fingerprints in Arizona or Washington and pass a federal background check.
Nice To Haves
- Orton Gillingham training.
- Teaching certification (not required).
- Advanced degree in a specific subject area of expertise.
- Previous one-to-one teaching experience.
