About The Position
Brightmont Academy is hiring a part-time Elementary Teacher to provide one-to-one instruction to students in grades 1 through 12. Teachers tailor instruction to students’ individual needs and learning styles and use a gradual-release approach to help students achieve mastery, confidence, and academic success. The role offers a flexible schedule and does not require lesson planning, parent conferences, or grading outside instruction. Professional development opportunities are available.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a subject area such as English, Social Studies, History, Government, or Economics.
- Patience and empathy, with a commitment to supporting students with different learning needs.
- Genuine passion for teaching and sharing subject knowledge with students.
- Proficiency using G-Suite and learning management software (LMS).
- Ability to provide fingerprints in Arizona or Washington, where applicable, and pass a federal background check.
Nice To Haves
- Orton-Gillingham training.
- Teaching certification; not required.
- Advanced degree in the relevant subject area.
- Previous one-to-one teaching experience.
