About The Position

Mount Greylock Regional School District seeks a dedicated and creative Elementary School Teacher to inspire a love of learning, promote equity and inclusion, and support the development of the whole child. Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree required
• Licensed, or eligible for licensure as an Academic Teacher in the field of Elementary 1-6 by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills both orally and in writing.
• Commitment to remain current in content knowledge and teaching strategies.
• National Fingerprint-Based Criminal Background Check (NCBC)
• Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI)
• Sexual Offender Record Information (SORI)

Nice To Haves

• Master’s Degree preferred.
• A background in Universal Design for Learning approaches is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate strong knowledge of curriculum and instructional practices appropriate for elementary learners, including experience and deep understanding of best practices in literacy instruction.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment grounded in culturally and linguistically sustaining practices that support the academic and social-emotional development of all students.
• Utilize data to inform instruction and differentiate to meet a wide range of learner needs.
• Collaborate proactively and effectively with colleagues, families, and support staff.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
• Other duties as assigned.
