About The Position

Kokua Education is hiring elementary substitute teachers in San Antonio, Texas, for the 2026–27 school year. Substitute teachers cover classroom assignments at K–12 schools, help students engage with learning, and serve as positive role models. Teachers can set their own schedules and work up to five days per week in assignments they are excited about, with opportunities to work near home across the San Antonio area. Requirements

At least one year of experience working with children in any setting, such as a classroom, tutoring, or coaching.
At least 48 college credit hours completed.
Confidence managing a classroom of students.

Pass state and federal background checks; costs are reimbursed after 10 assignments.
