Elementary Special Education Teacher

About The Position
The Elementary Special Education Teacher will work in Philadelphia schools, supporting elementary-grade students with diverse learning needs. This is a contract position managed through an agency, with ongoing agency support. The teacher will implement and monitor IEPs, provide individualized and small-group instruction, collaborate with school staff and families, maintain student documentation, and foster an inclusive classroom environment.
Requirements
- Valid Pennsylvania Special Education Teaching License.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Nice To Haves
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Prior experience in elementary special education strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor IEPs in collaboration with school staff.
- Provide individualized and small-group instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
- Work closely with general education teachers, parents, and support staff.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports.
