About The Position

Cross Country Education is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher in Clinton Township, Michigan, to support K–5 students through individualized instruction, skill development, and a positive learning environment. The teacher will provide special education services in reading, writing, math, and executive functioning through both pull-out and push-in instruction.

The role includes developing, implementing, and monitoring Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), tracking student progress, and adapting instruction to individual learning needs. The teacher collaborates with general education teachers, support staff, related service providers, and families to promote student success and implement positive behavior supports. Responsibilities also include maintaining accurate student records, participating in IEP meetings, and ensuring compliance with special education requirements. The position offers a school-based schedule of 31.25 hours per week.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher.
• Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with an appropriate Special Education endorsement and qualifications to teach elementary special education.
