About The Position
We are partnering with Philadelphia schools to place a dedicated Special Education Teacher for elementary grades. This is a contract position managed through an agency, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while receiving ongoing support from the agency team. The teacher implements and monitors IEPs, provides individualized and small-group instruction, collaborates with school staff and families, maintains documentation and progress reports, and fosters an inclusive classroom environment.
Requirements
- Valid Pennsylvania Special Education Teaching License.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Nice To Haves
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Prior experience in elementary special education strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor IEPs in collaboration with school staff.
- Provide individualized and small-group instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
- Work closely with general education teachers, parents, and support staff.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports.
- Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
