About The Position

This is a full-time, permanent position for an Elementary Paraeducator at Dewey Elementary School. The role involves working 6 hours per day, 5 days a week, for a total of 206 days per year. The position is part of the CSEA General Unit Salary Schedule and includes benefits. The work hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:20 AM to 2:50 PM.

Requirements

In some programs, possession of, or willingness and ability to obtain a valid California Class C Driver License within 30 days of hire or before driving any equipment/vehicle requiring this license.
Non-Title Sites: Passing the IA Proficiency Test or having the CBEST is required, regardless of educational background.

Must pre-qualify by attaching your High School Diploma or equivalent and one document [A or B] from the following list: [A] Passing score from San Juan Unified School District's Proficiency Exam - testing date must be April 2005 to current. No other school districts proficiency exam will be accepted. OR [B] Official passing score from the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST)
Title I Sites: Must pre-qualify by attaching one documentation [A, B, C, or D item] from the following list: [A] Passing score from SJUSD's Proficiency Exam - testing date must be April 2005 to current. No other school districts proficiency exam accepted. OR [B] Official passing score from the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST) OR [C] OFFICIAL transcripts demonstrating the completion of two years of college (48 semester/60 quarter units) OR [D] Proof of an A.A. degree (or higher). If your degree/transcripts are from a foreign college or university, YOU MUST have coursework evaluated for its equivalency to a degree/transcripts received from an accredited United States college or university.
