About The Position

This is a part-time, permanent position for an Instructional Assistant II at Mariemont School. The role involves working with students who have mild/moderate disabilities, including those in Resource, Learning Handicap, or Communicatively Handicap programs. Typical duties include leading small groups, assisting students in large groups in both Special Day Class and General Education settings, and supporting the teacher's needs. The district is seeking candidates with relevant experience and training. Some programs may require possession of, or willingness to obtain, a valid California Class C Driver License within 30 days of hire.

Requirements

Experience relevant to the position.
Experience working with students served in Resource, Learning Handicap or Communicatively Handicap programs.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Passing score from San Juan Unified School District's Proficiency Exam (April 2005 to current) OR Official passing score from the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST).
IA Proficiency Test or CBEST is required, regardless of educational background.

Nice To Haves
