About The Position

The Texarkana Arkansas School District is accepting applications for a P.E. teacher and assistant varsity football coach for the 2026-2027 school year. The primary purpose of this role is to provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences designed to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth, and to enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
• Valid Arkansas teaching certificate with required endorsements for subject and level assigned.
• General knowledge of curriculum and instruction.
• Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of sports, coaching and athletic safety.
• At least one year of student teaching or approved internship.

Responsibilities

• Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences designed to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth.
• Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society.
• Coach varsity football as an assistant coach.
