Football Varsity Wide Receiver Coach
About The Position
The Menlo School football program is seeking a Wide Receiver coach for the 2026 football season. Spring and Summer training begin on May 18. The qualified candidate will serve as a dedicated coach and mentor to our student athletes while upholding the school’s values and professional code of conduct. This is a seasonal, hourly position that covers on-field and off-field activities, including coaches' and players' meetings, travel, and practice preparation. Menlo takes pride in providing pay that compensates for all work performed, differentiating itself from the stipend model.
Requirements
- Previous coaching and playing experience are recommended.
Responsibilities
- Working in tandem with JV coaches to secure consistent teaching between both levels
- Consistent practice attendance, including summer football, meeting times, and games throughout the course of a season
- Display knowledge and fundamentals of wide receiver scheme and techniques
- Assist in building defensive coverage scout cards using Hudl (Play Tools).
- Pass game coordination
- The ability to present instructional direction to a position group in both an on-field and a classroom setting
- Ability to develop and establish a personal connection with Menlo athletes, staff, and administration members while maintaining professional boundaries
