About The Position

This is a Locum Tenens position for an Electrophysiologist in Flagstaff, AZ. The role involves providing clinical electrophysiology services in both a hospital and in-office clinic setting. The coverage period is from July 20, 2026, to October 19, 2026, with specific dates throughout July, August, September, and October. The patient demographic is adults, with a daily patient volume of 20-22 in clinic, 3-4 hospital consults, and 4-6 EP cases per day. The facility is a hospital with 268 beds in the department and uses the Cerner EMR system. Credentialing takes approximately 30 days.

Requirements

• Active AZ license (or willing to obtain)
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Electrophysiology
• AZ DEA registration
• ACLS certification
• Minimum 1 year experience
• Must demonstrate 100 EP cases in last 2 years with emphasis on ablations
• Must be comfortable performing moderate sedation independently
• Must be comfortable using Abbott Ensite-X Mapping system

Responsibilities

• Provide electrophysiology services in both hospital and in-office clinic settings
• Perform cardiac electrophysiology procedures including ablations for heart rhythm disturbances
• Conduct hospital consults (3-4 per day) and EP cases (4-6 per day)
• Administer moderate sedation independently
• Perform transesophageal echocardiograms (TEEs)
• Utilize Abbott Ensite-X Mapping system
