The University of Kansas Health System- St. Francis is hiring a board eligible/board certified Electrophysiologist to join their comprehensive rehabilitation services team in Topeka, Kansas. This is an opportunity to join a well-established and growing practice within a renowned academic health system. This is a full-time position with a split of 50% EP and 50% General Cardiology. The role does not require research or teaching. The team is supported by comprehensive cardiology services, including anesthesiology coverage, a group of 8 Cardiologists, 9 APPs, and experienced support staff. The facility offers on-site procedure rooms and testing, including Nuclear Stress, Echo, Echo Stress, Exercising Stress testing, Vascular Sonography, Coumadin Clinic, Cardiac Rehab, Vein Clinic, and Device Clinic. The Structural Heart Program includes ASOIPFO, TAVR, and Watchman programs, with plans to expand to Mitral and Triclip in 2026. Referrals come from primary care, multiple specialists, hospitalists, and outreach. The daily patient load is approximately 2.5 patients per hour for clinical work and variable for inpatient. The practice utilizes Epic EMR and Ambience AI scribe technology for documentation automation, administrative burden reduction, improved patient flow, and accurate coding, aiming for better work-life balance and revenue. Advanced imaging systems include CV PACS Fuji, EKG Epiphany, and 3mensio structural heart.
