About The Position

PGS Worldwide is seeking a Secret-Cleared Electronics Technician in Lexington, Kentucky for a one-year onsite contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This 2nd-shift position will perform routine electronics maintenance, troubleshooting, component replacement, wiring, and testing using common electrical test equipment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Interim Secret clearance or higher required to start.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical and electronic systems.
  • Experience troubleshooting electrical or electronic equipment.
  • Ability to replace electronic components and perform basic wiring activities.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
  • Knowledge of basic mechanical and electrical concepts.
  • Ability to follow detailed technical instructions and established procedures.
  • Experience taking electrical test measurements using common test equipment.
  • Ability to work accurately under technical supervision.
  • U.S. citizenship required.

Nice To Haves

  • 1–2 years of electrical, electronics, or related technical experience.
  • Electrical harness fabrication experience.
  • Aviation maintenance experience.
  • Experience using digital multimeters.
  • Experience using oscilloscopes, signal generators, semiconductor testers, or curve tracers.
  • Familiarity with applicable electrical standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine electronics maintenance and repair activities.
  • Replace electronic components and repair basic electronic equipment.
  • Wire electrical and electronic circuits.
  • Troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems using established procedures.
  • Take test readings using digital multimeters and other electronic test instruments.
  • Use oscilloscopes, signal generators, semiconductor testers, curve tracers, and similar equipment as required.
  • Follow detailed technical instructions and maintenance procedures.
  • Read and work from electrical schematics and technical documentation.
  • Perform assigned work under the guidance of supervisors and higher-level technicians.
  • Verify completed work for accuracy and compliance with applicable requirements.
