About The Position

SOLVERE is seeking an Inertial Electronics Technician I. The Technician performs depot-level troubleshooting and repairs on circuit cards, modules, and assemblies used in U.S. Navy Navigation systems. This person plays a critical role in keeping high-value electronic systems operational by diagnosing and repairing inertial systems such as: AN/WSN-2/2A, AN/WSN-5, MK-27 Gyro, MK-39 Gyro, and associated inertial sensors.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Formal electronics training from: Technical School, or Class A or B military school in electronics or communications, or four (4) year electronics apprentice program.
  • Formal electronics training, to include: Installation Tasks, Soldering, Cable Dressing, Cable Tray, Conduit, and Making/Repairing Connectors.
  • Two years of experience to include: electronics repair, maintenance and checkout.
  • U.S. Citizenship

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with U.S. Navy maintenance procedures, Navy drawings, and MIL-STD documentation.
  • Experience with AN/WSN-7 or AN/WSN-7A RLGN.

Responsibilities

  • Perform depot-level troubleshooting and corrective maintenance on legacy inertial navigation systems, including AN/WSN-5 INS, along with AN/WSN-2/2A, MK-27, and MK-39 Gyrocompasses.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electronic components in accordance with NAVSEA and DoD technical manuals.
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking for troubleshooting complex issues.
  • Communication and teamwork skills for coordinating with engineers and customers.
