About The Position

Quintech Electronics and Communications, Inc. is seeking a Surface Mount Technology (SMT) Programmer to create, update, and maintain SMT programs, including programs for AOI and SPI machines. The position ensures that programs are current and error-free and verifies engineering change orders (ECOs). The role supports manufacturing through programming and optimization, timely transfers of programs from the computer database to SMT machines, and defect root-cause analysis.

This is a full-time, in-person position at Quintech Electronics headquarters in Indiana, Pennsylvania, on a 5/8 schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Overtime may be required as needed.

Requirements

• Experience working with or familiarity with Panasonic data generation software.
• Experience working with or familiarity with Mentor Graphic PCB design software.
• Experience working with or familiarity with Gerber viewers and editing software.
• Experience working with or familiarity with Panasonic placement machines.
• Experience working with or familiarity with Koh Young AOI and SPI equipment.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
• Knowledge of the SMT manufacturing process.
• Knowledge of IPC standards related to SMT.

Responsibilities

• Create, update, and maintain SMT programs, including AOI and SPI machine programs.
• Ensure programs are up to date and error-free, and verify engineering change orders (ECOs).
• Program, optimize, and support manufacturing.
• Develop and implement a plan to eliminate online program debugging.
• Conduct root-cause defect analyses.
• Read and follow work instructions, company standards, and procedures.
• Perform tasks with care and attention to detail.
• Transfer programs from the computer database to SMT machines in a timely manner to help improve SMT efficiency.
• Perform other related assigned tasks and work overtime as needed.
