About The Position

Perform assembly and wiring operations on electro-mechanical chassis, consoles, and systems associated with moderately complex first piece prototype, limited production equipment or production runs. This work is to be done from detailed manufacturing information, procedures and applicable industry and quality standards.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated competence in all applicable manufacturing information and skills requirements.
  • Minimum ten years of experience in electrical assembly and wiring and soldering of electro/mechanical assemblies.
  • Must be able to read drawings and wiring diagrams.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous soldering certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Plan the working procedure and determine assembly sequence of assembly hardware and components of all sub-assemblies, assemblies, and units from detailed manufacturing information.
  • Develop new assembly and wiring techniques as necessary.
  • Assemble and wire, using schematic or wire lists, complete electro-mechanical assemblies forming all necessary cabling, wire, routing and typing per sketch or oral instructions.
  • Perform final assembly operations on subassemblies, electro-mechanical assemblies, and systems by noting break-in points and incorporating changes and rewiring, adding, or removing wires/part.
  • Perform necessary fitting and aligning.
  • Plan and develop the layout of cables and construct form boards when required.
  • Sketch the layout of cable routing, working from the unit and wiring diagrams.
  • Recommend changes or assemble and wire improvements to engineering personnel.
  • Perform electrical power wiring.
  • Use sound individual judgment, job experience and all related data to ensure all work meets quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
