About The Position

This role involves testing and troubleshooting various RF products such as RF Microelectronic, RF amplifiers, and switches, as well as digital circuit cards. The position requires analyzing equipment operating characteristics to identify malfunctions, diagnosing non-conformances using technical documentation, and performing RF tuning on microelectronics under a microscope. Responsibilities also include maintaining and calibrating test equipment, recording data accurately, and collaborating with engineers on test procedures. The job entails performing repetitive and non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and mechanical assemblies, requiring manual dexterity and precision for working with small assemblies under a microscope. Adherence to safety, ESD, FOD, and cleanliness guidelines is mandatory, as is successful completion of in-house workmanship training.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Electronics knowledge gained through schooling, the military, or work experience.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow procedures and drawings.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on use of drawings, wire lists, source control drawings, or test procedures.
  • Experience working with microelectronics and performing tuning under a microscope.
  • Experience working with test equipment.
  • Experience working with engineering teams.
  • Experience with soldering and electronic assembly processes.
  • Working knowledge of defense electronics, with a preference for Electronic Warfare systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Test and troubleshoot RF products including RF Microelectronic, RF amplifiers, switches, mixers, etc.
  • Test and troubleshoot digital circuit cards.
  • Analyze equipment operating characteristics to isolate malfunctions in products and integrated test systems.
  • Diagnose non-conformances using schematics, wiring diagrams, source control drawings and other test procedures and equipment.
  • Perform RF tuning on microelectronics, which requires working under a microscope for much of workday.
  • Perform maintenance or calibration on test equipment.
  • Record and ensure validity of entries into data collection and test systems.
  • Interpret and recommend corrective action to test findings.
  • Execute proper documentation of actions performed in applicable forms.
  • Perform a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies.
  • Ability to learn tasks under microscope on very small assemblies with outstanding manual dexterity and precision.
  • Record production data accurately in travelers, shop floor systems, and quality records.
  • Collaborate with engineers and supervisors to assist in the writing or modification of test procedures.
  • Follow all safety, ESD, FOD, and cleanliness guidelines to maintain a safe and compliant work area.
  • Successfully complete in-house workmanship criteria training classes for continued employment.
