About The Position

CACI is seeking an Electronics Test Technician who can serve as a skilled technical specialist to build, align and test high precision Electro-Optical and mechanical systems in support of production Space/Satellite programs and aid engineers in the development of test and alignment fixtures and tools. This position will be for 2nd shift (2:00 pm to 10:30 pm; Monday-Friday). The project focus is on testing components for Space Flight Optical Inter Satellite Link Terminals.

Requirements

• 5 years of related experience (or equivalent combination with education)
• Testing custom electromechanical, electronic, fiber optic, and laser assemblies
• Working with PCBA testing
• Understanding of electrical engineering principles
• Knowledge of fiber optics and laser operation/safety
• Ability to follow detailed work instructions
• Proficiency with test equipment: Multimeters, oscilloscopes, power suppliers, Function generators, optical power meters, Fiber optic test equipment, laser sources, Optical spectrum analyzers (OSA), BERT scope

• Associate degree in technical field
• Micro-electronics assembly experience
• IPC-610 certification (Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies)
• IPC-620 certification (Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies)
• J-STD-001 with Space Addendum (Soldered Electrical/Electronic Assemblies)
• Electronics test certifications
• Laser Safety Training

Responsibilities

• Test PCBA, fiber/laser optic assemblies, and electrical hardware
• Perform electrical, fiber optic, and laser testing and characterization
• Follow test procedures and maintain detailed documentation
• Document test failures in reporting systems
• Support cleanroom test equipment maintenance
• Assist engineers in improving test procedures
