About The Position

The Test Technician performs a wide variety of technical tasks supporting processes, engineering, quality control, calibration, laboratories, production and test environments, line maintenance, and chemical handling. This role tests, troubleshoots, repairs, maintains, and installs electronic, electro-mechanical, mechanical, computer, laboratory, and scientific systems and equipment. The technician observes, analyzes, and reports test data and makes equipment repairs when appropriate. The position works from approved procedures, schematics, and drawings; isolates problems between the test environment and units under test; and resolves issues as needed. The technician validates procedures, selects and operates engineering and scientific equipment, documents technical issues through comprehensive failure entries, and interprets test data to determine pass/fail conditions and whether further analysis is needed. Technicians work independently to complete production and acceptance testing and meet production goals. This is an onsite, second-shift position at the Forest, Mississippi facility. The work may require lifting, walking, and climbing stairs or ladders at test ranges. An active and existing DoD Secret clearance is required after the first day, and U.S. citizenship is required because the position requires eligibility for a security clearance.
