About The Position

CACI is seeking an Electronics Test Technician who can serve as a skilled technical specialist to build, align and test high precision Electro-Optical and mechanical systems in support of production Space/Satellite programs and aid engineers in the development of test and alignment fixtures and tools. This role involves testing components for Space Flight Optical Inter Satellite Link Terminals within a cleanroom environment requiring safety precautions and ESD and FOD controlled areas. The technician will work independently with technical documentation and collaborate with test engineers.

Requirements

• 5 years of related experience (or equivalent combination with education)
• Testing custom electromechanical, electronic, fiber optic, and laser assemblies
• Working with PCBA testing
• Understanding of electrical engineering principles
• Knowledge of fiber optics and laser operation/safety
• Ability to follow detailed work instructions
• Proficiency with test equipment: Multimeters, oscilloscopes, power suppliers, function generators, optical power meters, fiber optic test equipment, laser sources, optical spectrum analyzers (OSA), BERT scope

• Associate degree in technical field
• Micro-electronics assembly experience
• IPC-610 certification (Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies)
• IPC-620 certification (Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies)
• J-STD-001 with Space Addendum (Soldered Electrical/Electronic Assemblies)
• Electronics test certifications
• Laser Safety Training

Responsibilities
