About The Position

Active Security designs, develops, implements, and sustains advanced C5ISR and security solutions for commercial and U.S. Government clients. The Electronic Security Technician I is an entry-level role focused on hands-on installation, maintenance, and repair of advanced C5ISR and security systems in high-security environments. The position involves regular local travel and supports systems designed to enhance defense and address physical, electronic, cyber, and communications security threats. Technicians work to meet codes, client specifications, and internal standards, with opportunities for skills development and career advancement.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Strong oral and written communication skills for interacting with peers, supervisors, and clients.
• Detail-oriented, with the ability to diagnose and solve problems.
• Pass a background check.
• Hold a valid driver's license.
• Be eligible for U.S. Government Security Clearance.
• Be able to obtain and maintain unescorted base access and a Common Access Card (CAC) for government roles.
• Meet government eligibility criteria, which exclude individuals with felony convictions or misdemeanor convictions involving domestic violence or child endangerment.
• Handle prolonged tasks, lift up to 50 pounds, work at heights, and work in diverse environments.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience with network-based systems.
• Ability to travel to projects and stay overnight for varying lengths of time.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain complex security system components and infrastructure.
• Perform initial troubleshooting and conduct tests to verify security system functionality.
• Assist with providing operational training and support to clients.
• Complete required job documentation and ensure compliance with industry and internal standards, including ISO-9001, CMMI II, and DCAA.
