Electronic Assembler - Foxboro

About The Position

Volt is hiring an Electronic Assembler in Foxboro, Massachusetts. The role involves assembling electrical components and devices according to blueprints, sketches, established procedures, and other data. Assemblers may alter parts to fit assemblies, inspect and label products, pack and identify assemblies, operate and set up equipment, adjust gauges and settings, select raw materials, check them against blueprint specifications, and sort and dispose of scrap. The position also assists with hanging and removing parts on the powder coat line. This is a full-time temporary-to-permanent opportunity. The advertised pay rate is $22.00 per hour; the rate offered to a successful candidate may depend on factors including education, work experience, work location, job duties, and certifications. Pre-employment drug screening and a background check are required. PPE is provided, and the employer states that employee safety is its top concern.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Warehouse, assembly, or manufacturing experience.
Ability to perform physical job functions including stooping, kneeling, crouching, walking, standing, reaching, and lifting up to 30 pounds.
Ability to reach overhead, pull, and push to perform work.
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
Strong work ethic and good attendance.
Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

Assemble electrical components and devices using blueprints, sketches, established procedures, and other data.
Alter parts as required to fit assemblies.
Inspect, label, pack, and identify assemblies.
Set up and operate equipment, including tooling and controls.
Make necessary gauge adjustments and settings.
Select appropriate raw stock and check it against blueprint specifications.
Segregate, sort, and dispose of scrap, and write scrap tickets.
Assist with hanging and removing parts on the powder coat line.
