About The Position

Amentum is seeking a dynamic and innovative Electromagnetic Warfare Planner to provide research, analysis, and planning support to the U.S. Pacific Command (USPACOM) Operations Directorate as part of a Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations Cell supporting U.S. Pacific Air Force (PACAF) at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii. This role involves supporting senior-level strategic planning and briefings, conducting research and analysis of national security policies, military strategies, and vulnerability assessments, identifying operational areas of concern, and developing new concepts and capabilities for Electromagnetic Warfare. The position requires supporting innovative approaches to integrating partner nation capabilities and close coordination with various governmental and industry entities. The role is embedded at PACAF, working directly for the USPACOM JEMSO cell.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, in lieu of degree, at least 10 years of combined experience in Electromagnetic Warfare (EW) operations, capability development and/or policy.
  • At least 3 years of experience at a Combatant Command, Service Component or equivalent HQ.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the Indo-Pacific Area of Operations.
  • Familiar with PACOM Theater Campaign Plan (TCP), Deliberate and Crisis Action Plans, and Operations Plans (OPLANS).
  • Experience in writing reports, graphics and information papers.
  • Experience analyzing operational data.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge and use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Tools in support of government client objectives (e.g. GPT, GenAI, AskSage, MAVEN, Machine Assist Disclosure (MAD), python, etc.).
  • Must have an active Top Secret clearance and be SCI eligible.
  • US Citizenship is required to obtain a Top-Secret Clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree and/or attendance at Service Command and General Staff College.
  • Background in U.S. Air Force JEMSO operations in the air domain.
  • Experience coordinating with other Department of Defense (DoD) entities, including the Joint Staff, the Office of the Secretary of Defense and PACOM's Service Components as well as non-DoD organizations such as DHS and State Department.
  • Graduate of Joint Electronic Warfare Theater Operations Course.
  • Familiar with JEMSO applications and databases (FADE/MIST, CED, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Provide assistance to senior-level strategic planning and briefings, including preparing formal papers and background information for USPACOM and PACAF senior leader consumption.
  • Provide research and analysis of various EW related national security policies, military strategies, and capability integration that support USPACOM operations and exercises with a specific focus on PACAF related operations.
  • Utilize experience and knowledge to support Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (JEMSO) focused on PACAF operations that will ensure freedom of action and mission assurance in all domains throughout the Indo-Pacific.
  • Support the integration and application of AI/LM tools to enhance data analysis, reporting accuracy, and operational insights.
