The Electro-Mechanical Drafter Creates and updates electrical drawings and schematics, prepares detailed working diagrams of Electrical equipment and installations, including dimensions, BOM, and other engineering information. The Electro-Mechanical Drafter works closely with both Electrical and Mechanical Engineers/Designers to accuracy of drawing packages.

Requirements

Proficient in AutoCAD and AutoCAD ELECTRICAL
Experience reading and interpreting Electrical Schematics and GA’s.
Familiarity with drafting standards and symbols.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents.
Proficient with Microsoft Office.
Demonstrate knowledge and an understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of SolidWorks, experience would be an asset.
Familiarity of Canadian Electrical Code would be an asset.

Responsibilities

Oversee AutoCAD Electrical drawing standards, symbol libraries, and parts catalogues.
Under direction of Electrical Engineers and Designers, create and update electrical drawings, schematics and reports.
Prepare detailed electrical drawings for manufacturing and installation.
In SolidWorks, under direction of Electrical and Mechanical Engineers/Designers, develop and update Electro-Mechanical Layouts.
Perform other duties as assigned.
