Electro-Mechanical Technician
About The Position
Dover Food Retail (DFR) is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician for its Richmond, VA Plant 2 location. This role provides routine maintenance support to operations departments in a highly automated environment. As a multi-craft position (electrical, mechanical, and electronic), the technician will be responsible for troubleshooting mechanical, electronic, and electrical industrial equipment within a designated plant department. The ideal candidate will possess a continuous improvement mindset, focusing on preventative maintenance and prompt repair of equipment to meet production objectives.
Requirements
- Enrolled in Trade/Technical School certification
- 3+ years Mechanical troubleshooting and repair
- 3+ years Electrical troubleshooting and repair

Responsibilities
- Assists other Technicians in the repair and maintenance of equipment.
- Diagnoses mechanical and electrical problems using technical drawings (e.g., blueprints, electronic/mechanical schematics) and diagnostic tools (e.g., multi-meter, laptop).
- Installs, maintains, tests, troubleshoots & repairs electrical, electronic systems, controls, and components of industrial machines, tools, and production/utility equipment.
- Diagnoses, repairs, and replaces faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment, including seals, gaskets, and bearings on motors, pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, etc.
- Troubleshoots and repairs complex electrical/electronic problems with equipment, networks, PC logic control, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), and external Input/Output (I/O) devices.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
