About The Position

A Licensed or Non-Licensed Electrician installs basic electrical equipment and systems in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards. This job will require both local support at a facility in Waynesboro, PA and Travel support across multiple U.S. Locations.

Requirements

  • Four (4) years of experience working in the electrical industry.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Must successfully pass a background check and drug test

  • Possibility for mandatory overtime, which may fluctuate and include night and weekend work.
  • The position requires the ability to lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to [50 pounds] on a regular basis.
  • Relocates a 12 foot stepladder without assistance.
  • Works at various heights up to 60 feet and can climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks and all types of ladders.
  • Walks, climbs, squats, crawls, kneels, pushes, pulls and reaches overhead on a routine and repetitive basis.
  • Possess good vision (may be corrected vision), the ability to see in color, and the ability to hear and communicate in English.
  • May use a standard ladder without exceeding the weight limit while carrying tools.
  • Tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem.
  • Apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
  • Combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions (including finding a relationship among seemingly unrelated events).

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, install, and test electrical systems within prefabricated power modules in a controlled production/manufacturing environment, following electrical drawings, specifications, and build procedures.
  • Bend, install, and secure conduit systems; install strut, supports, cable tray, and other electrical raceway support systems required for power module construction.
  • Install power distribution equipment, switchboards, panelboards, transformers, branch power systems, lighting systems, wiring devices, and associated electrical components.
  • Route, terminate, and label power, control, and communication wiring in accordance with project requirements and industry standards.
  • Perform point-to-point checks, continuity testing, insulation resistance testing, and functional verification of electrical systems and equipment.
  • Read and interpret contract drawings, one-line diagrams, schematics, equipment layouts, and installation details to ensure accurate installation and quality workmanship.
  • Inspect completed work to verify compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues within power modules using testing equipment, meters, and hand tools.
  • Support factory acceptance testing (FAT), equipment startup, and system commissioning activities as required.
  • Travel to project sites to assist with setting, assembling, installing, interconnecting, and commissioning prefabricated power modules.
  • Install field connections between modules, utility services, distribution equipment, generators, customer equipment, and other electrical infrastructure.
  • Coordinate installation activities with project supervision, field crews, subcontractors, and other trades to support schedule and project objectives.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by following company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and applicable electrical standards.
