About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Electrician to support the daily operations, maintenance, and repair of campus electrical systems. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working independently, and contributing to a safe learning environment for students, faculty, and staff.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of electrical experience in commercial or institutional settings
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, controls, and safety procedures
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to lift equipment and work in various indoor/outdoor environments

Nice To Haves

  • Valid Electrician License or Journeyman certification preferred
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Standing, walking, bending, and operating equipment for extended periods

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance on lighting, panels, wiring, and campus facilities
  • Respond to electrical service calls and emergency repairs
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams
  • Ensure all work complies with electrical codes and safety standards
  • Collaborate with maintenance and facilities teams on campus projects
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities
