About The Position
Tarpon Specialty Services is seeking journeyman, apprentice, and lead electricians for long-term, high-hour work on critical-power construction projects across Texas, specifically focusing on the rapidly growing data center sector. This is an opportunity to join a statewide pool of electricians who will be matched to projects as they begin. Experience in commercial, industrial, or data center environments is valuable, and prior data center work is highly desirable but not always required. The company is recruiting from Lubbock, Plainview, Levelland, Brownfield, Slaton, Post, and surrounding communities.
Requirements
- Current applicable Texas electrical license or registration
- Hands-on electrical construction experience
- Ability to satisfy project employment and site requirements
- Willingness to travel, work overtime, and extended schedules
- Dependable attendance and reliable transportation
- Safety-conscious and proud of quality work
Nice To Haves
- Prior data center work
- Experience from cotton gins, ag processing plants, hospitals, wind and power-generation sites, refineries, and large commercial builds
Responsibilities
- Conduit installation and bending (EMT, rigid, PVC)
- Cable tray, raceway, feeder and branch pulls, terminations
- Installation of panels, transformers, switchgear, and distribution equipment
- Installation of grounding and bonding systems
- UPS, generator, and backup-power installation
- Motor control, controls wiring, low-voltage and fiber installation
- Blueprint and one-line reading
- Commissioning, testing, and startup support
