About The Position

Tarpon Specialty Services is seeking experienced electricians for traveling positions on data center construction projects across Texas. This role involves working on critical-power projects with serious hours and offers a continuous path to new sites as they open. We are a staffing partner that aims to keep qualified electricians working without the need to constantly search for the next job. Openings include Journeyman Electricians, Electrical Foremen/Lead Electricians, and Apprentice Electricians, particularly those with commercial, industrial, or mission-critical experience.

Requirements

Active Texas electrical license or registration.
Documented electrical construction experience.
Willingness to travel and work extended schedules and overtime.
Ability to clear project-specific hiring and site access requirements.

Nice To Haves

Data center experience is a plus, not a requirement for every role.

Responsibilities

Installation and termination of switchgear, distribution equipment, transformers, and panelboards.
Working with UPS systems, generators, and backup power.
Layout, bending, and installation of EMT, rigid, and PVC conduit.
Installation of cable tray and raceway; pulling and terminating feeders and branch circuits.
Grounding and bonding for critical facilities.
Installation of motor control, controls wiring, low-voltage, and fiber.
Reading and interpreting blueprints, including one-lines, riser diagrams, and electrical drawings.
Providing support during commissioning, testing, and startup phases.
