About The Position

Tarpon Specialty Services is recruiting journeymen, foremen, and apprentices for data center construction projects across Texas. They are looking for electricians with experience in commercial, industrial, or data center environments. While prior data center work is a plus, it's not required for every position. Experience in wiring aerospace or manufacturing facilities, hospitals, distribution centers, refineries, power plants, or large commercial buildings is applicable. The role involves working on various electrical systems including switchgear, generators, UPS, conduit, cable tray, motor controls, and low-voltage systems. Electricians will also be expected to interpret one-lines, prints, and electrical drawings, and may be involved in testing, commissioning, and startup support.

Responsibilities

  • Install and maintain electrical systems including switchgear, distribution gear, transformers, panelboards, generators, UPS and backup-power systems.
  • Perform conduit installation (EMT, rigid/IMC, PVC) and bending.
  • Complete cable tray, raceway, feeder and branch pulls, and terminations.
  • Execute grounding and bonding procedures.
  • Work with motor controls, control wiring, and low-voltage and fiber systems.
  • Interpret one-lines, prints, and electrical drawings.
  • Provide testing, commissioning, and startup support.
