About The Position

As Hospital Electrician you are responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing electrical systems and equipment within a healthcare facility. This includes ensuring the safe and efficient operation of power distribution systems, lighting, and specialized medical equipment. The role requires adherence to stringent safety standards, troubleshooting electrical issues, and performing preventative maintenance to minimize disruptions to hospital operations. Strong knowledge of electrical codes, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to supporting critical healthcare services are essential. The position is a first responder to requests for electrical repairs on a large variety of equipment, systems and building components. Requirements

  • Over 5 years Electrical Experience
  • 1-2 years HVAC Experience
  • 1-2 years Mechanical Experience
  • 1-2 years Electronic Experience
  • Experience installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, equipment, and controls
  • Experience troubleshooting electrical distribution systems, panels, and circuits
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams

Responsibilities

  • Performs corrective and preventative maintenance relative to completion of scheduled and non-scheduled work orders
  • Primary responsibilities will be electrical but will also be given general mechanical assignments as needed
  • Operates and maintains technically sophisticated mechanical and electrical equipment
  • Provides training to staff in use of utilities and equipment
  • Performs detailed repair work as assigned and performs other related work
