Responsibilities

  • Completing tasks related to the installation, energization, and maintenance of cathodic protection systems.
  • Completing tasks relating to field and installation of AC mitigation projects.
  • Obtaining permits, where required, to execute work.
  • Maintenance and operational function of assigned vehicle, tools, and equipment.
  • Coordinating and completing specific project task objectives.
  • In-field training and development of other team members.
  • Vehicle, trailer, and equipment preventative maintenance.
  • Following lock out / tag out (LOTO) procedures.
  • Removal of existing impressed current cathodic protection rectifiers.
  • Removal of miscellaneous existing cathodic protection / electrical components such as old remote monitoring units, old AC panels, old intermediate junction boxes, old conduit, and connectors etc.
  • Installation of new impressed current cathodic protection rectifiers.
  • Pulling permits from applicable provincial authorities within Saskatchewan, if required.
  • Cable routing in trenches, excavations, and conduit etc.
  • Responding promptly to Customer/Project issues in co-operation with the Junior/Senior Team Leaders and project staff.
  • Providing on-site technical advice to team personnel as required.
  • Providing Junior/Senior Team Leaders information regarding technical problems to allow a remedial plan to be determined in a cost-effective manner.
  • Following Corrosion Service’s and clients’ operations HSE procedures and policies.
  • Ensuring that all required reporting is submitted to the Team Leads/Project Engineers.
  • Following inventory removal/addition procedures to ensure accurate counts.
