About The Position

Morton Salt's Rittman, Ohio location is hiring an Electrician to install and maintain electrical equipment. The position is Monday through Friday on second shift, with weekend overtime required as needed. The electrician may also be assigned other duties related to the job. The role includes responsibility for maintaining personal and company tools and equipment in good operating condition and keeping the work area neat, clean, and orderly. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to read electrical blueprints and diagrams.
Ability to perform all types of troubleshooting.
Journeyman certification or equivalent training and experience.

Responsibilities

Install conduit, calculate wire size, pull wire, and wire and install control equipment.
Align and install motors and generators and provide power for them.
Maintain and clean motors, including installing bearings.
Locate and correct line faults or grounds.
Install and repair electrical generating equipment, including battery chargers.
Maintain, repair, and install power transmission lines.
Maintain, repair, and install substations, power centers, distribution and control centers, including structures and switchgear for voltages from 69 kilovolts down.
Maintain and repair passenger and freight elevators.
Maintain and repair electronic equipment, vibrators, and controls, including tuber or solid-state equipment.
Work from complicated wiring diagrams, using knowledge of modern electrical equipment and developments in the electrical field.
Instruct workers of lesser skill and ensure work is sufficiently accurate to comply with National Electric Code standards.
Maintain personal and company tools and equipment in good operating condition and keep the work area neat, clean, and orderly.
Perform other duties related to the job as required.
