Looking for an employer who believes in supporting your professional development? This job is for you! We are currently looking for an electrician for the electrical department of Sanimax. This position is based at our Lévis plant. Reporting to the electrical supervisor, the electrician plays a key role in maintaining and optimizing the plant's electrical and control equipment. They intervene quickly to diagnose and resolve technical problems to ensure the continuity of operations. As a technical expert, the person actively participates in preventive and corrective maintenance activities, proposes improvements, and contributes to the reliability of the installations, in close collaboration with the maintenance and operations teams.

Requirements

  • Diploma of College Studies (DEC) in industrial electronics or related field
  • Experience in instrumentation, automation, process control, and troubleshooting
  • Good knowledge of Rockwell systems (Studio 5000, FactoryTalk View, SLC500)
  • Experience with variable speed drives (configuration and troubleshooting)
  • Knowledge of electrical distribution systems (600V – motor control centers, panels, etc.)
  • Functional English
  • Good knowledge of applicable codes and standards
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage priorities

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, DeviceNet, ControlNet, IO-Link, HART)
  • Non-construction electrician license (License C)
  • Proficiency in the Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Support the maintenance and operations team in resolving issues affecting line performance
  • Respond to service calls and perform diagnostics
  • Source parts, install, replace, and commission equipment
  • Access PLC programs and make modifications as needed
  • Participate in preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical and control equipment
  • Inspect, verify, clean, and repair equipment
  • Calibrate instruments (temperature, pressure, flow, etc.)
  • Analyze production stoppages and propose areas for improvement
  • Participate in the maintenance of low-voltage electrical distribution systems
  • Use CMMS software to document work, time, and parts used
