About The Position

Taylor Steel Inc. is seeking a Certified Electrician to join our multi-skilled team. The role involves troubleshooting, repairing, modifying, and maintaining electrical systems on industrial machinery, performing preventive maintenance and breakdown repairs, and modifying or enhancing electrical attributes of production equipment. The position also includes PLC programming and troubleshooting, working closely with other trades, and adhering to all safety and lock-out/tag-out procedures.

Requirements

• 309A/442A Ontario Certificate of Qualification
• Working at Heights Certification
• Valid Ontario driver’s license.
• Effective interpersonal skills
• Thorough understanding of electrical, electronic and instrumentation equipment
• Working knowledge and understanding of applicable codes, legislation and regulations
• Ability to maintain documentation and navigate computer programs

Nice To Haves

• Experience in steel
• Crane troubleshooting
• Mechanical knowledge

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting, repairing, modifying and maintaining electrical systems on industrial machinery
• Performing preventive maintenance and breakdown repairs
• Modify or enhance electrical attributes of production equipment as directed or approved.
• PLC programming and troubleshooting
• Working closely with Millwrights, Operators, and Supervisors
• Following all safety and lock‑out/tag out procedures
