About The Position
States Industries is hiring a skilled Electrician to join their weekend crew supporting a high-performing manufacturing operation. This role offers a 3-day workweek (Friday–Sunday) with full-time hours, providing four days off each week. The ideal candidate thrives on solving problems, keeping equipment running, and making a real impact in a team-driven, safety-first manufacturing environment.
Requirements
- Oregon Limited Journeyman Manufacturing Plant License (or higher)
- Experience with Allen-Bradley PLC systems
- Strong knowledge of: Closed-loop position controls, Encoders and electronic brakes, Boiler controls and industrial printing systems, European schematics and controls
- Proven troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Mechanical background (pneumatics, hydraulics)
- Ability to read blueprints and technical documents
- Valid driver’s license
- Self-starter who can work independently and get things done
- Must provide own tools
Responsibilities
- Keep equipment running safely and efficiently through electrical and mechanical maintenance
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical issues
- Install and improve systems (switches, sensors, controls, and more)
- Support continuous improvement projects and equipment upgrades
- Perform welding and light fabrication as needed
- Work closely with operations and maintenance teams
- Train and support team members when needed
- Follow all safety protocols, including LOTO
- Operate forklifts (or become certified)
- Support Safety, Quality, and Production goals across the facility
