About The Position

Holy Cross Health is seeking a skilled and experienced Electrician to join our engineering team. The Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment within the hospital to ensure a safe and efficient environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an electrician apprenticeship program preferred.
• Valid electrician’s license in the state of Florida is highly preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an electrician, preferably in a healthcare or commercial setting.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, blueprints, and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Completion of an electrician apprenticeship program
• Valid electrician’s license in the state of Florida

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, and control systems.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical equipment.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues, providing timely and effective solutions.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with local, state, and federal regulations and safety standards.
• Collaborate with other maintenance staff and departments to support hospital operations.
• Maintain accurate records of all electrical work performed.
• Respond to emergency electrical issues promptly and efficiently.
• Assist in planning and executing electrical projects and upgrades.
