About The Position

The Electrician performs general and preventive electrical maintenance property-wide, troubleshoots electrical issues using appropriate testing devices, and completes assigned work orders. The role involves repairing or replacing equipment, electrical wiring, and fixtures; following applicable electrical codes and building regulations; and communicating work-order details through completion. The Electrician works with personal hand tools and company-owned power tools, supports inventory needs, and helps maintain customer satisfaction and positive employee morale while following management direction and safety procedures.

Requirements

• Basic working knowledge of building maintenance.
• Working knowledge and experience with low voltage.
• Working knowledge of electrical repairs.
• Working knowledge of changing outlets, GFCIs, switches, and light fixtures, and repairing light fixtures.
• Working knowledge of reading wiring schematics.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
• Must be flexible, detail-oriented, able to prioritize, and able to multitask effectively.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment with multiple distractions and meet timelines.
• Must uphold appearance standards.
• Ability to problem-solve and strategize for better solutions.
• Must be able to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• One year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform general and preventive electrical maintenance property-wide.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
• Repair and replace equipment, electrical wiring, and fixtures.
• Follow the National Electrical Code and state and local building regulations.
• Use personal hand tools and company-owned power tools.
• Complete computer-based work orders in a timely manner.
• Communicate work-order details effectively and follow up through completion.
• Notify supervisors of parts and inventory needs.
• Ensure customer satisfaction.
• Follow lawful direction from upper management.
• Understand and follow work and safety rules and procedures.
• Interact well with others and contribute positively to employee morale.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
