About The Position
The Electrician/Mechanic maintains machinery and equipment at International Paper’s Wooster Box Facility in Wooster, Ohio. The role troubleshoots programmable controllers and AC/DC drives, makes necessary repairs to drives and their control systems, and helps equipment operate at available capacity and speed. The position also involves following up on work orders, recording completed work in the maintenance software program, and planning and scheduling maintenance work. This is an hourly full-time position on the second or third shift, with a pay rate of $36.78 to $39.01 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot programmable controllers and AC and DC drives.
- Make necessary repairs to drives and their control systems.
- Maintain machinery to maximize equipment utilization and enable operation at available capacity and speed.
- Follow up on work orders to ensure repairs and work are performed properly and entered into the maintenance software program.
- Plan and schedule maintenance work.
- Comply with company policies and procedures, including safety requirements and maintaining good housekeeping.
