About The Position

The Electrical Entry Level position is part of a multidisciplinary team and works under the direction of a licensed engineer. Projects may include new construction and renovation for educational, healthcare, sports, corporate commercial, and science and technology environments. The role involves supervised electrical design and documentation, drawing production, shop drawing review, and occasional site visits to verify existing conditions and observe construction progress. The position is based in the Chicago office, with a stated hourly salary range of $29.48 to $36.85. Employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses. Requirements

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering required by the hire date.
Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
Related student internship work experience.
EIT/FE certification.
Experience with computer applications for engineering design programs such as Revit, Navisworks, or similar applications.

Responsibilities

Under supervision, design lighting, power distribution, communication and/or telecommunications systems, and fire alarm systems.
Under supervision, prepare technical design documentation.
Assist in reviewing and marking up shop drawing submittals.
Produce quality drawings based on red lines and verbal instructions.
Recommend ways to improve processes, quality, and coordination efforts.
Apply a basic understanding of National Electrical Code chapters 2 and 3.
May visit job sites to verify existing conditions and observe construction progress; site visits frequently require a physical walk-through.
Perform other duties as assigned.
